While piracy is not at the center of this inquiry, the Copyright Alliance suggests that screening apps and developers will be helpful. Apple, meanwhile, stresses that “piracy” is one of the reasons why sideloading isn’t allowed; a notion that’s disputed by Cydia creator “saurik”.
